Happy Friday my Wolf Pack!
I hope this update finds you well and ready to enjoy your weekend! So, today is April 1st and that means it's also April Fool’s Day. In honor of the day, I have a for you about April Fool’s Day fun fact, 6 years ago today was when I launched my first every Kickstarter and it failed 60 days later. That's right on April 1, 2016, I launched a failed Kickstarter campaign for Night Wolf Issues 1-3. I played the game on hard, setting a $20,000 goal. However, I did manage to raise over $5,000, but Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform. In the end, I did not let that failed launch stop me. After I took some time to mentally recover from my failure, I decided to raise the money on my own by doing freelance web design jobs to pay the artists and the printer.
After self-publishing Night Wolf Issues 1 and 2, I came back Kickstarter in October 2019. Since then, I have successfully overfunded 5 campaigns for Night Wolf Issues 3 through 5, the volume 1 trade paperback that collects the 1st four issues, and for the 1st issue of my new series, Snow Paw. That’s all thanks to you, my amazing Wolf Pack! It's a good think I didn't just give up, huh? It just goes to show what we can do once we put our minds to it!
Now, look at where we are as Wolf Pack during my sixth comeback Kickstarter! The Night Wolf #1-6: Urban Fantasy Werewolf Coming-of-Age Drama campaign is currently at 96% funded with 262 pack members strong and growing! Another testament to how strong we are together as a Wolf Pack! How awesome would it be if Night Wolf #6 hit fully funded today, on April Fool’s Day, 6 years after the first failed Kickstarter launched? It's definitely doable with only 10% remaining! This Anthology series was made for people who know nothing about Lovecraft as much as somebody who loves Lovecraft deep in their bones. There are many stories by a ton of awesome creative teams that discuss the deep, rich history of the universe, and give some psychological shocks in the old Lovecraft style, but there are also some simpler stories to ease people into the universe. The great thing about Lovecraft is that he's been manipulated and remixed by so many people that there is something in Lovecraft for everybody, and that is what we really wanted to share in this book.
